Eating for Longevity

Join me as we look at the key to healthy aging and how to optimize it! This 90-minute workshop will include both presentation and discussion. I will touch upon:

  • The main health concerns as we age, including dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, coronary artery disease, diabetes and sarcopenia

  • The role of inflammation and oxidative stress in maintaining brain health

  • Gleaning inspiration from some of the world's longest-lived people

  • Getting more in tune with your body's cues

  • Cultivating a sense of joy and purpose when you eat

  • A new way of looking at your weight

  • Strategies for adopting a no-nonsense approach to healthy eating

I have worked in the health care field for over 15 years, including more than 7 at Duke Integrative Medicine, where I learned firsthand that food is medicine. I believe that a positive relationship with food can be transformational, and I strive to help patients pave the way towards a healthier life.

You will be invited to join in the discussion, and time will be left for Q&A.

Instructions

This workshop will be presented on Zoom and a recording will be sent to all participants, which you can rewatch for two weeks following the live workshop date.

All you need is a device and a way to take notes if you wish.

This is not a diagnostic workshop, but I will take your questions and answer those that relate to the most common concerns about eating for longevity.
